Need of Process and Procedure in Business

How a start up business is set to a grow?

It would be a brain child of an individual or group of individuals towards a market, where they have served already or which they find lucrative (the latter one is dangerous – its like getting into unknowns waters – we don’t know what risk lies there).

This individual or these individuals run their business with set of work to increase or improve their business or to say a term for it, is Process / Procedure.  Many don’t know that they do follow a process or procedure, but they do that. What is the danger of not-knowing the process is that it may lead them in different direction than that of their goal, if it is growing way it is luck, if it is a dead end ???

Individualy run businesses are run by people with extra memory and presence of mind, they have strong attitude that this character resolves the need for a process / procedure in doing business. But a process or procedure will help the super duper when they are nervous (first of all this will prevent them from being nervous and directs them to focus more of their energy onto the key requirements – Marketing Production or Procurement, rather to keep their brains alert to keep these memories in tip).

The Process /Procedure will boost individuals ability to handle a situation. This will give a clear understanding by the stake holders like Buyers, Suppliers, Partners and Employees.  This smartness in business of the boss can be inculcated into the business operators (employees) through this process or procedure.

In most of the businesses that grow faster in traditional way, one could easily see that the Boss trains a smart youth (it is nothing but inculcating his smartness into the young just by keeping him/her by side of him, for the young to understand his smart activities).

This would easily happen with a process.  This process or procedure is maintaining data of business in Ledgers, Soft copies or in a Software.

The benefit of a Software is that the retrival of data is much faster and loss of data is very minimal, as processing and storing is done by system – getting away from manual errors or modifications to camouflage errors.

To think setting up a process, one should study its ROI, if it is paid in a defined duration, then the benefits derived from the process would be there for the company – it should be considered as investment and not as expenditure – one tries to forget (ignore) the expenditures than the investments.
